At the heart of the LIVEN Texture Lab is a powerful granular synthesis engine capable of breaking down any sample into micro-fragments ranging from 2 milliseconds to 1 second. Each granule can be transformed and reconstructed by adjusting its position, density, shape, direction, and playback speed, giving rise to drones, evolving pads, glitches, cinematic atmospheres, and entirely new sonic experiments.

The main parameters of granular synthesis are always accessible via ten physical controls, allowing you to shape the sound in real time without interrupting the creative flow.

Sampler and polyphonic synthesizer

Texture Lab allows you to record up to 32 samples, each with a maximum duration of 6 seconds. The sound engine is 4-voice polyphonic and features two modulation sources, a dedicated envelope, and various filter types, offering extensive flexibility in both synthesis and sample manipulation.

Real-Time Granular Effects

In addition to functioning as a synthesizer, the LIVEN Texture Lab can process stereo signals from the audio input in real time. You can also “freeze” up to six seconds of audio and instantly transform it into spectacular granular textures.

Shimmer Reverb for Ambient and Sound Design

The six stereo reverb algorithms feature an evocative Shimmer effect, ideal for creating expansive, ethereal, and cinematic soundscapes. The reverb can be applied to both internal sounds and signals from external audio inputs.

128-Step Sequencer with Automation

The LIVEN series sequencer allows you to record not only notes but also all variations in granular synthesis parameters. Automations can be recorded in real time or programmed directly on individual steps, enabling extremely complex and dynamic sonic evolutions.
