A collaboration between WMD and Nick Donaldson of Infrasonic Audio, Cosmic Debris represents an extremely versatile modular effects processor designed for both live use and studio sound design. The design was developed within the Denver modular scene and refined by WMD to offer reliability, immediacy and very deep sonic possibilities.

Ambient textures and experimental delays

The Spray control transforms delay taps into extended, kinematic ambient reverbs, while Scatter modifies feedback paths between delay lines, generating ever-evolving textures. The Time parameter and SLEW function allow smooth transitions, extreme risers, and particularly musical modulations, offering direct control over the signal energy present in the buffers.

Eurorack module optimized for live performance

Cosmic Debris was designed with a strong focus on performance use. The Blast function provides a momentary boost to the input signal and can handle 100% send for controlled sound explosions with natural queues. Send mode, on the other hand, turns the Mix control into a CV-controllable send/return level, ideal for hybrid setups and advanced processing.

Flexible sync and built-in freeze function

Sync options include external clock, tap tempo or free operation, making the module perfect for both synchronized rhythm setups and freer ambient explorations. The dedicated Freeze function allows you to capture audio fragments and keep them indefinitely, creating extremely atmospheric drones, loops and layers.

Modular effects processor with extensive CV modulation.

Blur, Ratio and Warp modes further expand the module's creative possibilities, introducing blurred reverbs, pitch-shifted delays and experimental time manipulations. The built-in band-pass filter helps sculpt the signal in the mix and can be animated via CV to achieve dynamic and complex movements.
