Multifunction utility module for Eurorack—mixer, splitter, noise generator
ALM Busy Circuits MEGA MILTON is a true assortment of analog utilities packed into just 8 HP, designed to tangibly expand the capabilities of your Eurorack system. Inside, you’ll find a stereo line-level converter, a four-input mixer, a gate-controlled slew limiter, a sample-and-hold with analog white noise, and a buffered multiplexer. These are the classic building blocks of modular synthesis—the ones you need in every patch and that are often missing precisely when you need them.
The stereo converter brings external line-level sources—such as drum machines, desktop synths, or the output of an audio interface—down to Eurorack level, so you can process them with your system’s filters, VCAs, and effects. It also functions as a mono splitter, allowing you to split a single source across two paths.
The mixer sums four fixed-level signals, ideal for combining oscillators, envelopes, or percussive voices. The fourth input can be used as an independent attenuator—a practical solution for scaling a CV or audio signal without occupying another module.
The slew limiter smooths transitions between values, adding glide to sequences. The gate input activates and deactivates the effect, allowing you to create glides on only certain steps, in the style of 303-style acid lines. Combined with the sample-and-hold, the slew output also becomes a smooth, continuous random source.
The sample-and-hold is a high-quality circuit with low droop, which keeps the sampled value stable from one clock cycle to the next. Thanks to normalization with the analog white noise generator, you instantly get time-synced random CV for generative melodies and pattern variations. The noise is also available as an audio source, perfect for building hi-hats, snares, and percussive textures.
The buffered multiplexer distributes a signal to multiple destinations without voltage drops—an essential feature when sending the same pitch CV to multiple VCOs and ensuring they remain in tune with each other. The polarity LEDs show you the signal’s polarity at all times.
All sections are normalized to cover the most common uses without additional cables: random CV from the sample-and-hold, smoothed random from the slew output, and an independent attenuator from the mixer’s fourth input. Fewer cables, more time to play.
