Modular analog Eurorack system with Total Recall and DAW integration
The Adamsynths Warthog Full System is an analog modular synthesizer featuring Total Recall technology, presented by Adamsynths as the world’s first analog modular synthesizer with full patch memory and recall. It is neither a digital platform nor a virtual modular synthesizer: the sound engine is 100% analog, in Eurorack format, within a plug-and-play system that reimagines the way we work with modular synthesis. This complete configuration brings together all Warthog modules into a single instrument, ready for the studio and the stage.
Warthog modules are interchangeable and reconfigurable, and the system is fully expandable: you can build the setup that matches your creative vision. But what truly sets the Warthog apart is its ability to store:
In practice, you can return to a patch, recreate it, evolve it, and experiment freely—without fear of losing a sound you’ve painstakingly built wire by wire.
The Warthog doesn’t just remember—it connects. The W2W (Warthog to Warthog) feature lets you share patches with other users, whether between two systems in the same studio or across continents, via an internet connection. You can export and import complete patches, exchange presets, snapshots, and routing configurations, and participate in the creative exchange within the Warthog community. Settings saved from the Central Unit are available as files, making them easy to transfer, archive, or recreate.
The Full System combines analog sound generation and Total Recall in a configuration designed to cover the entire signal path, from the oscillator to the final mix.
The system includes three analog oscillators, each capable of functioning as both a VCO and an LFO. Each oscillator features a built-in sub-oscillator and CV mixer, providing rich modulation right at the heart of the system.
Filtering and amplification are handled by two Multimode VCF VCA modules, featuring four filter modes (4-pole low-pass, 2-pole low-pass, 2-pole band-pass, and 2-pole high-pass), adjustable Q compensation, and integrated audio and CV mixers. Dynamic control comes from two Dual VC ENV modules, each with a voltage-controlled ADSR envelope and a voltage-controlled DADSR envelope, allowing you to precisely shape the temporal behavior of every sound.
All modulation tools are concentrated in the Modulation Tools module: Sync LFO, noise generator, Sample & Hold, VC Glide, and a VCA & Inverter that can also function as a Ring Modulator. The Matrix 428 lets you change the routing within a saved patch without rewiring the system—just as if you were moving cables during a performance, but faster and more precisely. The Mixbooth is a clear and intuitive audio mixer with AUX sends and monitoring functions, suitable for both studio and live use, while the Multiples 16 adds a passive multiplexer with 4 inputs and 12 outputs, fully compatible with Total Recall.
The Central Unit is the brain of the system. It manages the saving and recall of patches, module states, and snapshots: as the core of Total Recall technology, it ensures that every setting—from knob positions to switch states, from module configurations to patch routing—can be saved and recalled at any time. It also allows you to quickly switch snapshots even during a live performance.
The Mood Wheels are two large wooden control wheels—both visually striking and highly functional. The positions of the wheels trigger different snapshots and enable sound morphing, with smooth transitions between different settings and intuitive real-time modulation. Together, the Central Unit and Mood Wheels make the Warthog not only capable of remembering settings but also responsive and dynamic, ready to follow your intentions as you play.
The Warthog Cabinet is not just a rack—it is the physical and technical foundation of the system. Its robust and original design gives the instrument its character, while inside it houses the custom-designed ASR-RAILS system bus and the high-performance ASR-PSU power supply, both essential for Total Recall. The Cabinet also includes outboard connectivity, with all external connections located on the back of the instrument.
Due to the nature of Total Recall, Warthog modules are not compatible with generic Eurorack cases: the dedicated internal bus and power supply system make the Cabinet an integral part of the ecosystem. At the same time, the Cabinet fully supports powering standard Eurorack modules, so you can freely integrate third-party modules and keep your system open to new ideas.
