Joranalogue Filter 8 (Used) is a used Eurorack module that redefines the concept of a multimodal analog filter. Based on a sophisticated four-pole OTA architecture, it combines filter, oscillator, LFO, and slew limiter functionality in a single 12 HP module, offering extraordinary versatility for sound design, advanced synthesis, and modular performance.

Joranalogue Filter 8 multi-mode analog filter for Eurorack

Starting with the classic four-pole low-pass topology, Filter 8 provides eight different simultaneous outputs with complementary responses. Each output has a specific sonic character, allowing for simultaneous 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-pole low-pass, high-pass, band boost, notch, phase shifter, and band-pass filters.

Eight simultaneous outputs for maximum sonic flexibility

The ability to use all outputs simultaneously turns Filter 8 into an extremely creative tool, ideal for complex patching, parallel processing and generation of multiple correlated modulations.

8-phase sine oscillator with precise tracking

By increasing resonance to self-oscillation, Filter 8 transforms into a voltage-controlled analog oscillator capable of generating eight 45° phase-shifted sine waves. Thermal stability, low distortion and accurate tracking over at least five octaves make it usable as a true precision VCO.

VCO, LFO and slew limiter in the same module

With its enormous operational range, from about 2.8 mHz up to 27 kHz, the module can function as an audio oscillator, multiphase LFO or voltage-controlled slew modifier. This flexibility allows it to cover a wide range of applications within any Eurorack system.

Advanced FM, Ping and Hold Function

Filter 8 simultaneously supports linear and exponential frequency modulation, allowing both classic FM timbres and chaotic, experimental behavior. The dedicated Ping input allows the circuit to be excited with triggers and gates to easily create natural percussion and resonances.

Modulation freeze with hold function

The Hold function allows you to temporarily freeze the filter core by manual control or external gate. This opens up new creative possibilities, such as suspending LFO modulations, oscillator sync-like effects and click-free mutes.
