DPA 4099 CORE for drums and percussion: precise and natural pickup

The DPA 4099 CORE is a miniaturized condenser microphone designed for professional recording of musical instruments. With its supercardioid polar pattern and CORE technology, this microphone ensures extremely natural reproduction with very low distortion and high dynamics.

It is an ideal solution for drum and percussion miking, both on stage and in the studio, offering defined and transparent sound even in contexts with very high sound pressure levels.

Superior isolation for live performance

The supercardioid pattern allows the sound of the instrument to be precisely captured while minimizing returns from other sources on stage. This makes DPA 4099 an excellent choice for complex live settings where separation between instruments is critical.

The pre-polarized condenser capsule ensures a wide and detailed frequency response, keeping the character of the instrument intact and offering a natural presence in the mix.

Drum clip and flexible positioning

This version of the microphone features a dedicated drum clip, designed to attach securely to drum rims without interfering with the vibration of the instrument.

The flexible 140mm swan neck allows for precise adjustment of the capsule position, making it easy to find the ideal pickup point on snare drums, toms and other percussion instruments.
