Focusrite's ISA Two offers a pair of microphone preamplifiers derived from the historic ISA 110 module. Each channel is completely independent and combines high-quality solid-state components with the famous Lundahl LL1538 transformer, originally chosen by Rupert Neve. The result is a professional, warm and defined sound, perfect for vintage or modern microphones.
Both channels have input impedance selection (including the original ISA110), for perfect matching with any microphone. Gain is up to 80 dB (60 dB variable + 20 dB trim), offering high dynamic range and maximum versatility even with weak signals.
ISA Two has Mic and Line inputs on the rear panel, and DI on the front panel, accessible via 1/4" TRS jacks. Each channel can be independently configured, making the unit ideal for stereo recordings, vocals and guitar, or complex instrumentation.
Each channel has a variable high-pass filter (16-420 Hz), balanced insert point and an 8-LED meter with adjustable calibration on the back. This allows accurate level management and the insertion of external effects such as EQ or compressors.
With the Brainworx bx_console Focusrite plugin, you can bring the warmth and musicality of the ISA 110 and 130 modules directly into your digital workstation. Official emulation recreates the sound of iconic Focusrite consoles from the 1980s and 1990s.
