Hive 2 from u-he is a powerful yet lightweight software synthesizer designed to deliver fast results without compromising sound quality and flexibility. With a clear interface and instant workflow, Hive 2 integrates 3 synthesis engines, wavetable support, arpeggiator, sequencer and an advanced modulation matrix to bring complex sounds to life with ease.

Versatile oscillators and 2D wavetable synthesis

Oscillators support standard or 2-dimensional wavetable waveforms, with manual, automatic or modulated scanning options. The Multi-Table feature allows the use of segmented wavetables for dynamic crossfades and complex layering. Hive also allows wavetable scripting via the .uhm format for advanced users.

Complex Modulations with Shape Sequencer

The Hive shape sequencer is a creative tool for generating intricate rhythms and modulations. Combined with Function Generators, you can create custom envelopes, slew limiters, dynamic gates and unpredictable combinations to animate every parameter of the synthesizer.

High-quality internal effects and flexible routing

Hive 2 includes 7 built-in effects (distortion, EQ, delay, chorus, phaser, reverb and compressor), all of which can be modulated and rearranged in routing. Each parameter can be controlled via modulation matrix, XY pads or MIDI assignments, opening up room for unique and innovative sound combinations.

Advanced control and optimized performance

Hive 2 supports MPE, microtuning (MTS-ESP), DAW automations, paneled presets, and over 2400 factory sounds. The interface is scalable from 70% to 200% and includes the Izmo skin for a new user experience. With low CPU usage, Hive is perfect for even the most demanding setups.
