Serpent SB4001 compressor: versatility and character in 500 size

The Serpent SB4001 takes stereo compression to a new level within the 500 Series format. With its four VCAs, it offers excellent dynamics and complete control over signal response. The six ratio modes and ten attack times allow the compression to be tailored to any context, from professional studio to creative production.

Total control and sound customization

Its advanced features include adjustable sidechain filters (60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, Boost and Slope), Wet/Dry mode for parallel processing, and external input (Key Input) for advanced sidechain. Release control is both stepped and variable, with two auto modes: Classic and Alternate.

"Grind" Mode: vintage color and harmonic saturation.

Unique in its class, the SB4001 includes "Grind" mode: a tube drive simulation that adds a warm, vintage color to the sound, ideal for the mix bus or for individual tracks that need character.

Handcrafted construction and quality components

Each SB4001 unit is handcrafted in Philadelphia, USA, using only high-end components such as Grayhill switches, sealed potentiometers, and machined aluminum knobs. Thru-hole construction of the audio path ensures durability and sound quality.
