Eurorack Dual Pack Mixer Module - Black
The AtoV MMx2 Black is a package consisting of two MM modules designed to expand signal management and distribution capabilities within a Eurorack system. The two modules can be used as standalone units or connected together to achieve more sophisticated and flexible mixing configurations.
In just 4 HP, the MMx2 combines several essential utilities for modular synthesis, including a CV mixer, attenuators, attenuverters, signal amplification, offset generation, and a multiple function. This combination makes it a versatile tool for modulation patches, CV processing, routing, and sound design.
Each MMx2 package includes a pair of MM modules. The two units can operate separately, providing two independent processing and mixing sections, or be connected to expand the system’s capabilities and create more complex matrix mixing configurations.
The system’s modular structure allows you to connect additional MM modules, progressively increasing the number of signals that can be handled and the routing possibilities. This feature makes the MMx2 suitable for both small Eurorack cases and larger systems dedicated to performance, sound design, and generative patches.
Each MM module features attenuators on the first two inputs and attenuverters on the last two. The attenuators allow for precise adjustment of signal intensity, while the attenuverters enable both attenuation and polarity inversion, facilitating the creation of complex and controlled modulations.
The mixed output is amplified by a factor of 2x, which is useful for boosting the level, increasing the range of a CV signal, or amplifying weak modulations to more effective levels within the patch.
The MMx2 can also be used to generate offsets and shift the operating range of a control signal. This feature is particularly useful for adapting LFOs, envelopes, and other CV sources to the parameters being modulated, improving control over timbral and rhythmic variations.
Thanks to its combination of signal mixing, inversion, amplification, and distribution, the AtoV MMx2 can fulfill numerous roles within a modular system. It can be used to route a single modulation signal to multiple destinations, combine CV sources, create macro controls, or develop complex stereo movements.
By connecting the two modules, the MMx2 allows you to build more sophisticated mixing configurations, ideal for simultaneously controlling different parameters within a patch. You can combine slow and fast modulations, create correlated variations between the left and right channels, or build evolving control networks.
The module comes with a detailed manual containing numerous examples and patch ideas. The documentation helps you understand the system’s various functions and make the most of MMx2 as a CV mixer, attenuverter, offset generator, multiple, and creative modulation tool.
