Eurorack Dual Pack Mixer Module - Silver
The AtoV MMx2 Silver is a package consisting of two MM modules designed to expand signal management, control, and distribution within a Eurorack system. The two units can be used separately or connected together to create more sophisticated and flexible mixing configurations.
In just 4 HP, the MMx2 integrates several essential utilities for modular synthesis: CV mixers, attenuators, attenuverters, signal amplification, offset generation, and a multiple function. The Silver version features a silver-colored panel, ideal for Eurorack systems with a classic, professional look.
Each MMx2 package includes a pair of MM modules. The two units can operate as independent sections, offering two distinct tools for signal processing, or be connected to expand routing and matrix mixing capabilities.
The system can be further expanded by connecting additional MM modules. This scalable architecture allows you to increase the number of signals you can manage and create increasingly complex modulation networks, adapting to both small Eurorack cases and larger professional setups.
Each MM module features attenuators on the first two inputs and attenuverters on the last two. The attenuators allow for precise adjustment of signal level, while the attenuverters enable both attenuation and polarity inversion of the modulation signals.
This configuration makes the AtoV MMx2 Silver particularly useful for combining LFOs, envelopes, CV sequences, and other control sources, creating more nuanced modulations that are easily adaptable to target parameters.
The mixer’s output is amplified by a factor of 2. This feature can be used to boost the level, extend the range of a CV signal, or increase the intensity of weak modulations within the patch.
The MMx2 can also function as an offset generator, allowing you to shift the operating range of a control signal. This makes it possible to convert bipolar modulations to unipolar ones, adjust the range of an LFO, or modify the operating point of envelopes and CV sequences.
The multiple function also allows you to route a single signal to multiple destinations, making it easier to create macro controls and related modulations within the modular system.
By connecting MM modules, you can achieve matrix mixing configurations useful for distributing, summing, and transforming multiple signals simultaneously. The MMx2 can also be used to create stereo movements, cross-modulations, and generative patches that are constantly evolving.
The combination of mixing, attenuation, inversion, amplification, and distribution makes the MMx2 a versatile utility for sound design, live performance, and music production. The module can take on different roles depending on the patch, reducing the need to use multiple separate utilities.
AtoV MMx2 Silver comes with a detailed manual containing numerous patch examples and suggestions. The documentation helps you explore the possibilities offered by the module as a CV mixer, attenuverter, offset generator, amplifier, and modulation distribution system.
