Neumann MA 1: automatic and professional acoustic alignment
The Neumann MA 1 is the official automatic alignment system for Neumann KH series monitors. Using a calibrated measuring microphone and dedicated software, MA 1 analyzes the acoustic response of the room and automatically adjusts amplitude and phase to achieve neutral and accurate reproduction, regardless of room characteristics.
Reliable monitoring in any room
Developed with the support of the prestigious Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIS), the MA 1 system offers advanced calibration that corrects amplitude, phase and transient response, improving clarity, stereo imaging and tonal accuracy. All alignment data is saved directly to the monitors or subwoofer DSP, with no need for external plug-ins or drivers.
Easy to use, professional results
The guided calibration process requires no special acoustic knowledge. Simply connect the KH monitors to the computer via Ethernet network, connect the MA 1 microphone to a microphone input with phantom power, and follow the software instructions. The system automatically calculates a customized target curve, which can be further modified to suit your working environment.
DSP compatibility and integration
MA 1 software is compatible with Neumann DSP monitors(KH 80 DSP, KH 120 II, KH 150, KH 750 DSP) and analog models(KH 120 A, KH 310, KH 420) connected via a DSP subwoofer. The updated algorithm ensures more precise compensation of ambient resonances and seamless integration between monitor and subwoofer, improving low-frequency definition.
A new standard for studio monitoring
The MA 1 represents the first step toward a new generation of intelligent Neumann monitoring systems. The software platform will be progressively expanded with new features, extending calibration to surround and immersive configurations up to 7.1.4.
