Eurorack Clocked Gate Logic Module - Silver
AtoV Gaeto (Silver) is an original clocked logic module for Eurorack systems, designed to transform and combine triggers, gates, and legato signals. The name Gaeto comes from the combination of the words “Gate” and “Legato” and perfectly describes the module’s ability to convert and reorganize logical and rhythmic events.
Thanks to its versatile architecture, Gaeto can perform numerous functions within a modular system: clock divider, legato generator, trigger-to-gate converter, rhythmic quantizer, sub-octave generator, and source of generative trigger sequences.
AtoV Gaeto’s operation is based on storing the current state at the Data input. When the signal exceeds the 1 V threshold, the module registers a logic high state; when the signal remains below that threshold, it registers a logic low state.
On the next clock pulse, the main output goes high if a logic 1 has been stored, while the complementary output goes high when a 0 has been stored. This structure allows you to create synchronized patterns, logic alternations, and rhythmic transformations linked to the input signal.
The output is connected to an AND gate that allows you to choose whether the signal should follow the duration of the clock pulse or remain high until the next clock pulse.
The operating mode can also be controlled via CV, enabling dynamic modulation of gate duration and the creation of complex, ever-evolving rhythmic patterns.
Gaeto can be used as a /2 or /3 clock divider, as a trigger-to-gate converter, or as a legato generator. It can also quantize rhythmic events relative to the clock, create sub-octaves with PWM modulation, and produce generative trigger sequences.
Its seemingly simple logic function offers ample room for experimentation and encourages exploration within rhythmic, melodic, and generative patches.
Multiple Gaeto modules can be daisy-chained using the included cable, creating shift-register-style configurations. This allows logic states to be transferred from one module to the next to develop rotations, sequences, and more complex rhythmic structures.
The design uses CMOS integrated circuits from the CD4000 series—specifically the 4013 and 4081 models—chosen for their reliability, operating speed, and low power consumption.
With a width of just 6 HP and a depth of 20 mm, AtoV Gaeto (Silver) offers high functional density and is suitable even for the most compact Eurorack cases.
