This Erica Synths Hi-Hats D is a used, tested, and fully functionalproduct. The module captures the character of classic digital drum machines using 6-bit conversion via a discrete DAC, producing a raw, bright sound full of personality—ideal for techno, electro, industrial, and experimental electronic music.

Discrete DAC and analog VCA for an authentic sound

Unlike traditional integrated converters, the Hi-Hats D uses a 6-bit discrete DAC capable of recreating the typical “crunchy” character of early digital drum machines. The signal is then shaped by an analog VCA based on the AS3330 chip and an analog envelope generator, ensuring fast transients and an extremely musical response.

Complete control over tone

Dedicated Tune and Decay controls—both CV-modulable with independent attenuators—allow you to range from short, aggressive hi-hats to more open, ambient sounds. The VCA response control also lets you further customize the module’s dynamic behavior.

Open Hi-Hat Looping for Creative Effects

One of the module’s distinctive features isOpen Hi-Hat Looping. When enabled, a portion of the sample is repeated during the envelope’s decay, creating a unique, delay-like rhythmic effect that adds movement and texture to percussive sequences.
