The FabFilter Pro-DS is a powerful de-esser plugin, perfect for dealing with problematic frequencies including but not limited to sibilance. One of the most unique de-essers on the market, the Pro-DS makes cleaning up vocals, drums and even full mixes. The cutting-edge ‘Single Vocal’ algorithm will identify and attenuate sibilance in vocal recordings with maximum precision. There is also the classic ‘Allround’ detection mode, providing the ultimate tool for high-frequency limiting.

Post-production and processing can bring out some unwanted sibilance and harsh frequencies when it comes to saturation and EQ’ing. The Pro-DS takes the work out of manual de-essing allowing you to focus on your mix. Offering both linear-phase split band processing and adjustable stereo linking, the Pro-DS is one of the most advanced de-esser plugins available. It also features presets for gendered voices, which zones in on the problematic frequency bands for both male and female ranges.

The real-time visual feedback allows you to clearly see the affected processed audio. You can also control the dynamics further with adjustable threshold, range and LP/HP detection filtering settings. It also offers up to four-time linear-phase oversampling and high-resolution 64-bit internal processing for transparent compression and limiting.
