Koma Elektronik Field Kit FX: the modular effects lab

The Koma Elektronik Field Kit FX is a semi-modular multi-effects processor designed for sound experimentation, electroacoustic art, and live performance. It combines seven functional blocks that allow you to manipulate audio and CV signals in real time, giving you total control over texture, spatiality, and rhythm. Each effect is fully CV-controllable and can be integrated into any electronic or modular setup.

Seven modules of pure creativity

The Field Kit FX includes a collection of effects inspired by the analog world but equipped with advanced digital control:

• Frequency Shifter - shifts frequencies to create deep phasing or Stockhausen-inspired metallic timbres.
• Looper - records up to 3 seconds of sound and allows unlimited overdubs with CV modulations.
• Sample Rate Reducer / Bitcrusher - destroys and transforms sound for lo-fi textures and glitches.
• Digital Delay - PT2399 chip-based delay with CV-controlled feedback and modular routing.
• Spring Reverb - analog circuit with CV-controllable filters and feedback (tank not included).
• 4 Channel VCA Mixer - mixer with tone and volume for each channel, CV routing and master control.
• Roll-O-Decks CV Generator - 4-step mini sequencer and ADSR generator for dynamic controls.

Full CV control and intelligent routing

The built-in CV Interface allows four CV signals to be routed to eleven different destinations. Each connection is managed via colored LEDs and buttons, making routing immediate and visually clear. Each source can be assigned to multiple parameters simultaneously, creating complex interactions between effects and modulations.

Spring Reverb: a classic reinvented

The Spring Reverb module supports several types of external tanks (connectable via RCA) and includes a variable low-pass/bandpass filter, with CV-controllable cutoff and feedback. A must for lovers of physical reverbs and organic spatial textures.

Open design and modular compatibility

The Field Kit FX is powered by 9V DC (adapter included) and can be mounted in a Eurorack system (36HP) by simply removing the wooden panel. All effects and controls are fully compatible with standard CV signals, making it an ideal complement to the Koma Field Kit or any existing modular system.

Manual and open source software

Included is the "Another 50 Ways to Use the Field Kit FX" manual , a 100+ page book with practical examples, patches, modulation ideas and advanced techniques. In addition, the DSP source code is open source and freely editable, for those who wish to customize algorithms or develop new digital effects.
