Maag Audio MAGNUM-K: advanced compression and sculpted sound

The Maag Audio MAGNUM-K is a 1U rack-mount analog mono compressor designed to offer precise and transparent dynamic control. It includes two compression sections (Magnum Comp and K Comp), a parallel EQ with Air Band® and soft clip limiter. Perfect for musically treating vocals, drums, instruments and mix buses.

Flexible dynamic control with two built-in compressors

Magnum Comp section lets you switch between classic "feedback" and more aggressive "feed-forward" compression. Dedicated controls allow adjustment of ratio (1.3:1 - 13:1), range (4-16 dB), attack (5-200 ms), release (0.1-1.2 s) and threshold. K Comp focuses on 3 kHz, good for handling harshness and annoying peaks, and can be activated separately.

Phase-free parallel EQ and brilliant Air Band

The parallel EQ EQ2 acts on mid and low frequencies without altering phase, with selectable "wide" and "tight" curves and frequencies from 10 Hz to 1.4 kHz. This is complemented by the famous Air Band® with frequencies from 10 to 40 kHz and a musical boost of up to +12 dB.

Advanced features for the modern studio

Includes input attenuator (-12 dB), additional gain (+12 dB), soft limiter with tri-color LED, sidechain with high-pass filters (up to 220 Hz) and inputs/outputs for external sidechain. All controls are detented for easy recall and precision. Stereo link available via TRS on rear panel.
