Phase8's acoustic synthesis uses truly vibrating bodies to generate sound, transcending the limits of the traditional distinction between analog and digital. The result is a dynamic and natural response that is sensitive to touch, feedback, and direct physical interaction.

8 voices with steel resonators

At the heart of the instrument are 8 independent electromechanical voices with metal resonators. Each voice contributes complex, layered textures ideal for advanced sound design and live performance.

Interchangeable resonators and sound customization

phase8 includes 13 chromatically tuned resonators, 8 of which can be installed simultaneously. They can be easily replaced and tuned, allowing complete customization of scale and timbral character.

Envelope control

Thanks to envelope modeling, you can achieve short percussive sounds or long sustained notes, adapting the instrument to any musical context.

Polymetric sequencer and advanced automation

The built-in sequencer supports both step programming and unquantized live recording. Each voice has step skips to create complex polymetric patterns.

Memory and creative control

Sequences can be saved and recalled via 8 memory slots, while all panel parameters can be automated for dynamic and evolving production.

Modulations and advanced sound shaping

phase8 offers three amplitude modulation modes: tremolo and two pitch-dependent audio-rate variants. You can also harmonically quantize modulations for musically consistent results.

Analog wavefolding and delay triggering

Analog wavefolding adds harmonic complexity, while trigger delay allows you to create synchronized or free advanced rhythmic grooves and phase shifts.

Physical interaction and touch control

One of the most distinctive aspects of phase8 is the ability to physically interact with resonators: touch them, pinch them, or use external objects to generate new sound textures.

AIR control

The AIR slider allows you to amplify or attenuate the acoustic response of objects in contact with the instrument, further expanding creative possibilities.

Full studio and live connectivity

phase8 integrates easily into any setup thanks to extensive connectivity including MIDI, USB-MIDI and CV. It can be synchronized with other devices and control or be controlled by external instruments.

MIDI and CV integration

You can use external controllers to play the synthesizer or take advantage of the internal sequencer to drive other MIDI instruments.
