Doepfer A-199 Spring Reverb: spring reverb for Eurorack

The Doepfer A-199 Spring Reverb is a Eurorack module that uses a true spring system to generate reverbs with a unique analog character. Unlike digital reverbs, it offers an organic and unpredictable sound, rich in resonances and vintage textures.

Analog reverb with 3-spring system

The 3-spring system provides a more complex and "dense" response due to the different physical characteristics of the springs. This produces a nuanced reverb with natural delays and resonances typical of mechanical systems.

Feedback and creative self-oscillation

The feedback control allows the signal to be fed back into the circuit, going as far as self-oscillation, similar to analog filters. This opens up extreme creative possibilities in sound design.

Integration with external modules

Thanks to the external feedback input, other Eurorack modules can be inserted into the loop (VCA, filters, distortion, ring modulator, etc.), turning the reverb into a true modular effects chain.

Sound control and tone modeling

The Emphasis control allows midrange frequencies to be emphasized, while the Mix control adjusts the balance between the original and reverberated signal. This allows precise management of sonic character.
