The Adamsynths Matrix 428 is the Warthog system’s matrix patcher, designed for the stage and for those working with complex patches. Its goal is simple and practical: to eliminate the need to physically rewire the system. Thanks to its snapshot features, you can dynamically modify connections within a single patch, maintaining total control over the signal flow even during a performance.

Routing: 4 inputs and 8 outputs for audio, CV, and digital signals

The Matrix 428 features four inputs and eight outputs, all capable of handling audio signals, control voltages, and digital signals such as gate, trigger, and clock. You can use it to route an oscillator to multiple filters, send an LFO to different destinations, or distribute clock and trigger signals between sequencers and envelope generators—without having to worry about the type of signal being transmitted.

SOURCE buttons and individually enableable outputs

Each output has a SOURCE button that lets you assign it to any of the available inputs. Each output can also be enabled or disabled individually: to switch between patches, or change the routing within the same patch, you no longer need to unplug and reconnect any cables.

It allows you to change the cable routing within a saved patch, as if you were physically unplugging a cable to plug it in elsewhere—but in a fraction of a second and completely automatically. Levels up to ±10 V compatible with the Eurorack standard

All inputs and outputs on the Matrix 428 support signals up to ±10 V, equivalent to 20 Vpp. This range covers most audio and modulation signals in the Eurorack ecosystem, so you can confidently route oscillators, envelopes, LFOs, and bipolar signals without worrying about level limitations.
