The WesAudio ngSumBox is a next-generation analog summing system designed for modern hybrid studios. It combines the deep, three-dimensional sound of analog summing with advanced features such as automation, digital recall, and full DAW integration.
With its 18×2 analog summing architecture, ngSumBox offers an extremely flexible mixing platform capable of restoring musical breadth, depth and cohesion to the mix while maintaining the speed and precision of digital workflows.
The WesAudio ngSumBox structure includes 16 fully controllable channels plus two additional inputs for return effects or submixes. The high-headroom audio path is designed to maintain maximum sound quality even in particularly complex mix sessions.
This approach achieves the classic analog summing sound: greater depth, better separation between instruments, and a more natural stereo perception than fully digital summing.
Each channel of the ngSumBox has individual level control with full automation directly from the DAW. All settings can be saved and recalled automatically thanks to the Total Recall function.
This makes the system perfect for modern workflows where you need to switch quickly between different sessions while maintaining the accuracy and repeatability of analog settings.
Each channel incorporates an adjustable Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) control that allows you to add analog saturation to the signal. You can achieve an extremely clean sound or introduce musical harmonics to increase depth, presence and character in the mix.
The LCR (Left - Center - Right) routing system allows you to precisely position each channel in the stereo landscape, giving you more control over the sound image and making it easier to build more solid and defined mixes.
The proprietary WIDTH circuit allows the stereo image to expand naturally. It uses a combination of controlled saturation and advanced side channel management to increase openness and depth without introducing artifacts typical of digital stereo wideners.
The ngSumBox integrates two analog inserts on the stereo bus, which can be activated independently and fully recalled via DAW. This makes it easy to insert compressors, equalizers or other analog processors into the mix chain while maintaining control and repeatability of settings.
The summing unit offers two different output stages to suit the desired sonic character:
Ideal for achieving maximum transparency and sonic accuracy.
Allows you to add analog color and saturation thanks to the transformer stage. IRON PAD control allows you to manage the level and drive the transformer to achieve the desired sonic character.
The WesAudio ngSumBox supports external controllers compatible with MC and HUI protocols, providing a mix experience similar to that of an analog console. Plug-in control, on the other hand, allows immediate recall of settings and full integration into the digital workflow.
By combining analog summing, digital automation, and control via hardware controller, ngSumBox becomes the heart of a modern studio, offering the sound quality of analog with the convenience and speed of digital systems.
