A collaboration between Chandler Limited and Abbey Road Studios, the REDD Microphone represents the first EMI-branded microphone in over half a century. Designed by Wade Goeke, it fuses the historic REDD.47 tube circuit with a handcrafted capsule in a single body, offering uncompromising audio performance.
The REDD Microphone is a tube condenser microphone with a wide diaphragm, combining microphone and preamp into a single professional device. The close proximity between the capsule and the amplifier circuit minimizes signal loss, ensuring a powerful and detailed sound output with a velvety high range and three-dimensional presence.
During its development, the REDD Microphone was tested against some of the most iconic microphones in the industry. From vocal artists to Stradivarius cellos, it demonstrated exceptional versatility and sound quality that makes it ideal for vocal recordings, acoustic instruments, orchestral ensembles, and more.
From the microphone body you can select gain, DRIVE mode, polar patterns, pads and phase inversion. From the external PSU, built with high-quality components, output and low-contour controls are accessed. The REDD Microphone comes with all the accessories needed for professional sessions.
