The KH 120 II takes the principles that made the KH 120 famous, but has been redesigned for improved performance, headroom and linearity. The W version adds a white finish, while the AES67 variant integrates Audio over IP connectivity: perfect for modern studios, broadcast directorates, and installations where routing, scalability, and clean cabling are critical.
DSP-driven electronics enable linear phase crossovers and optimized phase response (120 Hz - 16 kHz, ±45°) with low latency (< 2.6 ms). This helps to better read transients, depth and balance, making mix and editing choices faster and safer.
In conjunction with the Neumann MA 1 system, the KH 120 II can automatically calibrate the frequency response according to the room and listening point. A real advantage especially on the low-end and in rooms where acoustics and positioning are not perfect.
The MDF Bass Reflex cabinet and Mathematically Modelled Dispersion™ (MMD™) waveguide contribute to controlled dispersion and stable stereo imaging. Very low tolerances (±0.5 dB) ensure consistency between units, also ideal in multi-monitor sets and immersive configurations.
In addition to analog XLR and digital S/PDIF (RCA) input, this version offers AES67 network integration for AoIP workflows. The KH 120 II can also be combined with other speakers in the KH line for advanced stereo, surround and immersive systems.
