Neumann KH 150 DSP is a bi-amplified nearfield studio monitor designed to deliver extremely reliable listening: great linearity, low distortion, and richly detailed output. It is designed for sound engineers and producers who want quick and confident decisions about balance, dynamics and spatial range, with sound that "translates" well to different systems.
The 6.5" woofer in a bass reflex cabinet extends the response down to 39 Hz (±3 dB), making the KH 150 DSP an ideal choice for genres that require control over sub and punch (urban, EDM, scoring and soundtracks). Powerful amplifiers (145 W/100 W) and separate protection limiters help maintain cleanliness and definition even at high volumes.
DSP-controlled electronics enable the use of advanced crossovers, avoiding the compromises of analog filters and improving phase coherence. This results in clearer mids and excellent precision in the time domain: more defined pulses and better "in focus" reverbs, useful for fine-tuning compression, EQ and ambience.
The Mathematically Modelled Dispersion™ (MMD™) waveguide helps create a wider ideal listening area and reduce table reflections. In addition, via Automatic Monitor Alignment (Neumann MA 1 microphone sold separately), you can calibrate the monitor according to the room and listening point. There is also a switch for quick manual corrections.
Timbral consistency with the KH series allows you to integrate the KH 150 DSP into multi-monitor, surround and immersive configurations. For connectivity find XLR line input, digital S/PDIF coaxial and Ethernet connection for network control/integration.
