B-Sides Mix Tape UAD Vintage Tapes and Mixers Plug-in Bundle
Universal Audio UAD B-Sides Mix Tape is a customizable bundle that lets you choose 5 plug-ins from a curated selection of 45 UAD titles. The collection includes tools for mixing and production, studio effects, virtual instruments, and amp models, allowing you to create a bundle tailored to your needs. The selection spans various types of processing, from compression to equalization, including reverbs, delays, tape machines, channel strips, virtual instruments, and guitar amplifiers.
For dynamics and tone processing, the B-Sides Mix Tape lets you choose from numerous UAD plug-ins designed for mixing. Among the available titles are the LA-6176 Signature Channel Strip, Pultec EQ Collection, Fairchild Tube Limiter Collection, Teletronix LA-3A Classic Audio Leveler, UA 175B/176 Tube Compressor Collection, Helios Type 69 Preamp and EQ Collection, dbx® 160 Compressor/Limiter, SSL 4000 E Channel Strip, and SSL 4000 G Bus Compressor. The selection also includes the Empirical Labs EL8 Distressor Compressor, Teletronix LA-2A Leveler Collection, 1176 Classic Limiter Collection, API 2500 Bus Compressor, API Vision Channel Strip Collection, Avalon VT-737 Tube Channel Strip, Capitol Mastering Compressor, Hitsville EQ Collection, and Manley Massive Passive EQ.
UAD B-Sides Mix Tape includes in its selection several processors dedicated to tape recording, ambient effects, and recreating the character of famous studios. The Oxide Tape Recorder, Ampex ATR-102 Mastering Tape Recorder, and Studer A800 Multichannel Tape Recorder offer various options for tape processing, while the Galaxy Tape Echo provides a dedicated solution for echo effects. For reverbs and ambience, the following are available: Lexicon 224 Reverb, Capitol Chambers, Hitsville Reverb Chambers, and Sound City Studios.
The selection also includes Brigade Chorus, Studio D Chorus, Waterfall Rotary Speaker, and A-Type Multiband Dynamic Enhancer, expanding the possibilities for creative processing during mixing and production.
The bundle isn’t limited to studio effects. Among the 45 available titles are also UAD virtual instruments and synthesizers. You can choose from the Ravel Grand Piano, Electra 88 Vintage Keyboard Studio, Waterfall B3 Organ, Moog MiniMoog, Opal Morphing Synth, and Anthem Analog Synthesizer to build a bundle that integrates processing and sound generation.
For guitarists and producers, several Universal Audio virtual amplifier models are also available. The selection includes the UAD Dream ’65 Reverb Amp, UAD Ruby ’63 Top Boost Amp, UAD Lion ’68 Super Lead Amp, and Woodrow ’55 Instrument Amp, offering additional possibilities for configuring the five plug-ins included in the bundle.
Most of the plug-ins in the selection can be used in native mode, but five of the included plug-ins are not native and require Universal Audio Apollo or UAD-2 hardware. Before choosing the five plug-ins, it is therefore important to check your hardware configuration, especially if you plan to use the bundle without Universal Audio DSP hardware.
