Eventide MangledVerb is a creative plug-in that combines reverb and distortion into one highly expressive sound processor. A direct derivative of the algorithm found in the H9 Harmonizer®, MangledVerb is designed to create deep sound environments, aggressive textures, distorted leads, and experimental soundscapes with powerful creative impact.

Creative reverb and advanced distortion in one plug-in

MangledVerb starts with a variable pre-delay that feeds a stereo reverb, which is then processed through a complex and dynamic distortion section. The result can range from slight harmonic saturations to extreme, chaotic effects perfect for cinematic sound design, electronic music, ambient guitars, and experimental productions.

Ambient textures, glitches and evolutionary soundscapes

With Size and Overdrive controls, you can create huge atmospheric soundscapes, distorted reverberated tails, and evolutionary textures with unique character. The Wobble control also adds unstable and eerie detuning effects, ideal for dark ambient productions, soundtracks and advanced sound experimentation.

The Ribbon and HotSwitch for realtime performance

Like the other effects in the H9 series, MangledVerb incorporates the famous The Ribbon control, which allows multiple parameters to be changed simultaneously by smooth morphing between two different configurations. The programmable HotSwitch, on the other hand, enables instant radical sound changes during live performances and creative automations.

Professional presets and seamless integration into DAW

The plug-in includes more than 180 professional presets also created by artists such as Richard Devine, Vernon Reid, Chris Carter, and other leading sound designers. MIDI, Tap Tempo and Mix Lock support ensures complete integration into modern music production and live performance workflows.
