Koma Elektronik Field Kit: the electroacoustic sound laboratory

The Koma Elektronik Field Kit is an electroacoustic workstation that opens the door to a universe of hidden sounds. Designed for those who enjoy experimenting and interacting with the environment, the Field Kit allows you to manipulate motors, sensors, contact microphones, and radio signals in one compact and creative ecosystem.

An analog mixer designed for exploration

At the heart of the Field Kit is a 4-channel mixer with independent gain, level, and tone (low-pass/high-pass filter) controls, as well as master and AUX submixes. Optimized for contact microphones, electromagnetic pickups and low impedance sources, it is also perfect for feedback mixing or no-input techniques due to the high gain available.

Integrated Envelope Follower and LFO

TheEnvelope F ollower converts any audio signal to a control voltage (CV), allowing other parameters to be modulated according to the dynamics of the sound. It also includes a gate output to generate triggers when the signal exceeds an adjustable threshold. The LFO module generates square, triangle or mixed waves, ideal for rhythmic modulations and continuous movements.

DC Interface: controls the physical world

With the DC Interface, you can control motors, solenoids, fans, LEDs and other 9V devices directly via CV control signals. Experiment with pulses, vibrations and movements to create interactive installations or mechanical sound textures. The output power is also sufficient to power a microcontroller such as Arduino.

Sensor Interface: the sound of the environment

The Sensor Interface turns data from environmental sensors-such as light, temperature, distance, or pressure-into CV control signals. You can use these signals to modulate parameters, trigger sounds, or interact with other modules in your setup, resulting in sensitive sound installations and context-based performances.

CV-controllable radio

A fully CV-controllable AM/FM/SW radio receiver allows you to explore broadcasts as a sound source or dynamic texture. Modulate the frequency via CV to achieve real-time scanning, interference or radio drone effects.

An expandable ecosystem

The Field Kit can be upgraded with Expansion Packs and Sensors Bundles, adding new control and interaction tools. The system is compatible with Eurorack setups and can be easily integrated via dedicated panel. Included in the package, the "50 Ways To Use The Field Kit" manual guides you through 50 practical examples and creative ideas to unleash the full potential of the instrument.
