Music Thing Modular Radio Music is a unique Eurorack module designed to behave like a virtual radio. It plays audio files from an SD card, organized into banks and stations, to provide an always unpredictable sound experience. Ideal for those looking for textures, atmospheric samples or sound streams to be modulated live.

Since 2014, Radio Music has become a cult among DIY modularists, supported by extensive documentation, an active wiki, and numerous customization options. The module has been used by landmark artists such as Chris Carter, Russell Haswell, and Robin Rimbaud.

Expandable Firmware and Unlimited Creativity

With its open structure on Teensy 3.1/3.2 microcontroller, Radio Music supports alternative firmware such as Chord Organ, Telharfauxnium, and an 808-style drum machine. All easily loadable via USB to fully customize the sound experience.

A Sound Journey through Stations and Banks

Each bank contains multiple "stations," or .wav files accessible via knob or control voltage. Audio flows directly from the SD card, also allowing long files to be played continuously, simulating zapping between radio stations.
