PSP Audioware PSP Datamix A567 is an EQ plug-in that reproduces the sonic character of the iconic Datamix A567 module, a staple of the historic mixing consoles used in legendary studios such as Electric Lady and Record Plant. Designed for tracking, mixing, and sound shaping, it offers an instantly recognizable analog sound signature capable of adding depth, color, and musicality to any source.

PSP Datamix A567: The Character of Classic Analog EQ

Unlike many transparent equalizers, PSP Datamix A567 is designed to impart personality to the signal as soon as it’s inserted into a channel. Even with all bands set to zero, the plug-in introduces the character of the original preamp and output stage, helping to make the sound richer, more three-dimensional, and warmer.

Musical three-band equalizer

The processor offers three carefully modeled equalization bands. The Low section offers Peak curves for boost and Peak or Shelf curves for cut; the Mid band combines Peak boost and Notch cut; while the High band features Peak boost and Shelf cut. This unique architecture allows for extremely musical adjustments, ideal for both mixing and processing individual tracks.

Advanced Control and Analog Authenticity

Preamp, transformer, and channel variations

The PSP Datamix A567 faithfully models the behavior of the input preamp and output transformer—key elements of the original sound character. You can also choose different channel settings, simulating the normal tolerances of analog components or opting for a perfectly calibrated response.

Alt Q, Sharp, and FAT modes

Alt Q mode maintains a constant Q factor across the bands for smoother, more natural adjustments, while Sharp mode introduces a more pronounced resonance in the high-frequency band. Internal 64-bit processing and FAT (Frequency Authentication Technique) technology ensure extremely accurate performance and a consistent response at any sample rate.

PSP Audioware Datamix A567 for Professional Mixes

Perfect for producers, sound engineers, and recording studios seeking the character of large analog consoles, the PSP Datamix A567 allows you to enrich instruments, vocals, drums, synthesizers, and complete mixes with an authentic vintage tone, while retaining all the convenience of a modern software plug-in.
