Moog Theremini: The iconic non-contact sound, reinvented

The Theremini is a modern take on one of the oldest electronic musical instruments, the theremin, which was Bob Moog's first passion. This hybrid instrument combines the magic of non-contact playing with a powerful wavetable-based sound engine derived from the award-winning Animoog synthesizer. The Theremini is designed to ensure instant success at any skill level, while offering new opportunities to experiment with music and gesture control.

Accessibility and precision for every musician

One of the Theremini's most innovative features is its intonation assistance capability. Depending on the difficulty level selected, the instrument will automatically correct notes to perfectly reproduce the chosen scale, making it impossible to play a "wrong" note. If you want more expressive control, you can decrease the assistance to the point where Theremini operates as a traditional analog heterodyne oscillator. The built-in tuner provides real-time visual feedback, helping you correct hand and body position and improve your technique.

Versatility and professional connectivity

The Theremini is an extremely versatile instrument, with 32 presets that you can customize with the scale and fundamental note you prefer. It features a built-in speaker, perfect for private rehearsals, and a headphone output for silent practice. For use in studio or live performance, the rear panel offers two unbalanced audio outputs, a CV output for controlling other modular instruments, and a mini USB port for MIDI I/O. The built-in microphone stand and chamber adapter makes setup quick and easy, wherever you are.
