The Wolff Audio Tutti is a microphone and instrument preamplifier designed to capture the sonic essence of the legendary Studio 1 console at Sunset Sound Studios in Hollywood. This 500 Series module is the result of a collaboration between Wolff Audio and Sunset Sound Recorders as a tribute to Tutti Camarata, a pioneer in audio engineering and founder of the historic studios.
The original circuit, used in thousands of iconic recordings, has been painstakingly recreated by Paul Wolff together with Paul Camarata, keeping intact the sonic character that has defined entire eras of music production.
Every detail of the Tutti was designed to deliver excellent studio performance. Custom Cinemag transformers, developed by the same designer as the originals, provide depth, headroom and a rich, musical harmonic response.
The fully discrete dual op-amp 990 design ensures solid, defined and dynamic sound, ideal for high-level professional recordings.
The Tutti combines operational simplicity and versatility: step gain selection, fine trim, mic input and Hi-Z for instruments, plus essential functions such as phase inversion and phantom power with no switching noise.
With its extremely wide frequency response and very low distortion, this preamplifier delivers open, detailed and natural sound with a warm analog character that enhances any audio source.
Once tried, it is easy to see why this design has become a timeless classic in professional productions.
