Maag Audio EQ2-500: compact, musical equalizer

The Maag Audio EQ2-500 is a 2-band EQ module designed for single slot in 500 Series format, based on the sound philosophy of the famous EQ4M. It offers precise mid-bass control and the unmistakable Air Band® to enhance brilliance without harshness, while maintaining transparency and musical response.

Mid-bass control with variable Q

The Low Mid Frequency (LMF) section enables surgical or wide operations through Q selection. Available frequencies range from 10 Hz to 1.4 kHz, with switches to quickly activate/deactivate the section and precisely manage the tone of instruments and voices.

Air Band®: natural and defined presence

The Air Band® section allows shelving boosts of up to +20 dB on frequencies from 2.5 kHz up to 40 kHz. The dedicated control and trigger switch make A/B comparisons immediate, enhancing vocals, acoustic guitars and overheads in particular.

Construction and mastering audio quality

Equipped with an input attenuator down to -12 dB, LEDs for signal present (-20 dBu) and peak (+23 dBu), the EQ2-500 is ideal for optimizing gain staging and maintaining signal integrity. Its musical EQ curves and no distortion (< 0.005% THD) make it a professional tool for any studio.
