The Oberheim TEO-5 is the rebirth of a legend. This synthesizer combines the legendary analog warmth and soul of classics such as the OB-X, Four Voice, and TVS with the functionality and reliability of a modern instrument. It is an opportunity to immerse yourself in a timeless and accessible sound palette, a dream Tom Oberheim has always wanted to realize. With its compact design and 44-note keyboard, the TEO-5 is the ideal sound passport for the studio and stage.
At the heart of the TEO-5 are authentic analog VCOs and VCFs that sing with the warmth and power of triangle, sawtooth and pulse waves, selectable simultaneously for each oscillator. But unlike vintage synths, the TEO-5's oscillators integrate through-zero frequency modulation (FM) with a dedicated X-Mod control, which opens up new sonic frontiers and allows for never-before-heard textures. Vintage soul is recreated with a function that adds voice-to-voice variations in component behavior, making the sound authentic and alive.
The TEO-5 brings with it the classic SEM filter, one of Oberheim's most beloved sound features, with a "State" knob that allows continuous morphing from low-pass to high-pass notch. Rounding out the sound design is a state-of-the-art effects section that includes a dedicated analog overdrive, as well as digital emulations of reverb, delay, chorus, flanger, phase shifter, and ring modulator, all inspired by Oberheim tradition.
With two DADSR envelope generators and two synchronizable LFOs, the TEO-5 offers deep and detailed control over the sound. The polyphonic sequencer and arpeggiator allow you to create complex patterns and dynamic rhythms. The configurable unison mode (one to five voices) and 512 total programs (256 factory and 256 user) make this instrument ready to use and infinitely customizable. Whether you are a seasoned professional or a novice artist, the TEO-5 gives you the compact power and unmistakable sound quality of Oberheim.
