The Neve 8804 Fader Pack is the expansion designed to make the Neve 8816 even more convenient and operational in the studio, offering a dedicated physical interface for controlling levels. In mix sessions with many tracks, working with faders means faster, more natural and precise intervention than knob controls, improving workflow and reducing fatigue.
The module integrates 18 faders overall, with an arrangement designed for everyday use: 16 channel faders plus 2 master faders. The components are designed to withstand heavy use and ensure smooth response, allowing accurate level adjustments and more "musical" control when balancing the mix.
In addition to faders, the Neve 8804 adds a practical operating section with 16 Mute/Solo switches, ideal for working quickly on groups and stems, and 16 Direct Outputs that expand routing and integration possibilities with outboards, recorders, or audio interfaces. The result is more complete and immediate control of the 8816-based system.
In conjunction with the summing unit, the 8804 also allows for more flexible control management: the level pots of the Neve 8816 can become controls for auxiliary sends, making the assembly even more versatile in hybrid mix contexts (DAW + analog) and in configurations with external effects.
The Neve 8804 is designed to fit a variety of locations: it can be installed in a standard 19" (4U) rack or placed directly on the desktop via the built-in stand (with optional desktop mounting accessories available). A practical solution for both compact studios and structured directorates.
