Soma Laboratory's LYRA-8 Pink: Creative Organismic Synthesizer

The Pink version of Soma Laboratory's celebrated LYRA-8 brings all the sonic power of this analog synthesizer in an even more iconic guise. Designed by Vlad Kreimer, LYRA takes an "organismic" approach to modular interaction, mimicking living behaviors to generate unpredictable sonic evolutions.

Architecture with 8 independent voices and organic FM

Based on 8 generators arranged in pairs (1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8) and two main groups, LYRA-8 Pink can operate in electric organ mode or as an FM synthesis system. Each voice, with its own envelope, can act as an FM operator, with natural modulation decay.

Nonlinear behavior and rich tone generation

The interaction between the modules and the deliberately nonlinear design ensure consistently unique and dynamic sonic results, perfect for sound designers, electronic musicians and live performers.

Hyper LFO, modular delay and chained distortion

The Hyper LFO generates complex shapes by combining two LFOs through summing or multiplication. The MOD DELAY offers two lines with cross feedback, resonance and auto-modulation for evolutionary effects. The DISTORTION module, located at the bottom of the chain, further enhances the output by creating strong and aggressive sound textures.

Despite its experimental nature, LYRA-8 Pink is a professional instrument with balanced frequency response and ready-to-use dynamics without the need for additional processing.
