Befaco Iroi is a powerful 18HP stereo effects module designed to take modular sound design to the next level. A compact evolution of the famous Oneiroi, it integrates a complete processing chain including multimode filter, VCA, resonator, delay and experimental reverb. Designed to work with external signals, it allows any source to be transformed into deep, cinematic and ever-changing sound textures.

Creative sound design and advanced modulation

At the heart of Iroi is its highly flexible modulation system. With the Advanced Mapping System, you can quickly assign modulations to any parameter, controlling its intensity and behavior. The internal system includes LFOs with different waveforms and an envelope follower that allows the input signal to self-modulate, generating organic and complex dynamics.

With seven available waveforms and global control of modulation level, Iroi allows you to create rich and detailed sound movements. Self-modulation and configurable routing capabilities make this module ideal for advanced sound experimentation.

Experimental reverb and creative delay

The module incorporates an innovative reverb with "Spacetime" control, capable of fluidly transitioning from short environments to infinite, inverted spaces. The 2-tap delay adds additional rhythmic and spatial possibilities, while lo-fi effects help create unique and immersive atmospheres.

Multimode stereo filter and signal shaping

The multi-mode stereo filter allows you to precisely sculpt the sound by choosing between low-pass, high-pass, band-pass and comb filter. Freely placeable in the signal chain, it is followed by a fast digital VCA that allows true synthetic voices to be built from external sources.
