AtoV DHO (Black), short for Dual Harmonic Oscillator, is an advanced reinterpretation of the concept of a complex oscillator. It combines fully analog sound generation with a sophisticated digital control system, offering a wide range of harmonic timbres, deep modulations, and sound design possibilities.

It is also the first Eurorack module equipped with haptic feedback, a feature that makes interacting with the controls more immediate and intuitive. This technology allows you to physically feel variations, sweet spots, and transitions as you adjust parameters.

Two Analog Oscillators with Through-Zero Modulation

Each of the two analog oscillators generates four octaves of triangular waves. The two cores can modulate each other via through-zero frequency modulation, a technique that allows you to achieve complex spectra while maintaining precise control over pitch.

Through-zero modulation allows you to range from subtle harmonic variations to metallic textures, extreme FM timbres, and constantly evolving sounds, making the DHO suitable for both melodic synthesis and advanced experimentation.

Four-stage diode wavefolder

The signals from the two oscillators feed into a four-stage diode wavefolder. This section progressively folds the waveform, adding harmonics and transforming simple triangle waves into rich, aggressive, and dynamic timbres.

The combination of analog oscillators, through-zero FM, and wavefolding allows you to create complex basses, cutting leads, organic drones, synthetic percussion, and constantly shifting textures.

Dynamic modulation of 10 parameters

Traditional complex oscillators offer enormous sonic potential but often require numerous external modulation sources. AtoV DHO takes a different approach, using an algorithm derived from the video game industry to dynamically control 10 parameters of the module.

With a simple turn of a knob, you can explore a vast array of sound configurations, simultaneously animating the entire architecture. A single CV input can thus generate deep, coordinated variations, significantly reducing the need for external LFOs, envelopes, and modulators.

Ten Internal LFOs for Continuous Movement

The AtoV DHO features 10 internal LFOs dedicated to modulating various parameters. These sources allow the module to produce movement, rhythmic evolutions, and complex timbral transformations even without using other control modules.

The DHO can thus function as a self-contained sound system, capable of generating intricate soundscapes and organic variations within a single patch.

Included expander for comprehensive connectivity

The module comes with its own expander, which expands connection and control options. The expander makes the standard waveforms of the two oscillators, PWM modulation, and dedicated inputs for hard and soft synchronization available.

These options allow you to easily integrate the AtoV DHO with other oscillators, sequencers, modulators, and processors in your Eurorack system, either as a complete sound source or as a source of analog modulation.
