Quagliardi Pro Audio PowerGrid 2: 500 Series Desktop Chassis

The Quagliardi Pro Audio PowerGrid 2 - Q2500 is a compact 2-slot chassis designed to house Series 500-format equipment. Designed for desktop and portable setups, it allows you to create a basic configuration with two Series 500 modules while keeping connections and power supply in a compact form factor. The chassis is made of metal, and the removable rack ears allow you to use the PowerGrid 2 as a standalone desktop chassis or integrate it into a traditional 19" rack.

XLR Connections and Stereo Configuration for 500 Series Modules

The rear panel of the PowerGrid 2 features two inputs and two outputs via 3-pin XLR connectors. Each 500 Series slot has its own input and output connections, making it easy to integrate the modules into the audio chain. By installing two modules of the same type, the Quagliardi Pro Audio PowerGrid 2 can also be used for stereo applications, offering a compact solution for processing, recording, and other professional audio applications.

Ground Lift and Power Supply of the Quagliardi PowerGrid 2

The rear panel features Ground Lift controls on the I/O connections, which are useful for eliminating unwanted noise caused by ground loops and interference. The PowerGrid 2 comes with an external linear power supply connected to the chassis via a locking connector. The internal power supply provides ±16 V DC with a total capacity of 600 mA, equal to 300 mA for each of the two independently isolated slots. A +48 V phantom power supply with a capacity of 150 mA is also available.

Measuring 13 × 18 × 9 cm and weighing 580 g, the PowerGrid 2 is designed for setups where compactness and portability are key. It can be used as a small 500 Series chassis dedicated to specific audio tasks or integrated into a rack setup alongside other professional equipment. The external 12 V DC / 2 A power supply comes with interchangeable AC plugs: Type I for Australia and Argentina, Type C for Europe, and Type A for the United States.
