The Universal Audio Apollo X6 Gen 2 AC Pro Analog Classics Pro is a 16 x 22 Thunderbolt audio interface designed for music producers, recording studios, and audio professionals who want the sound quality of the Apollo X Gen 2 series in a compact yet extremely powerful format. With two Unison™ microphone preamps, Apollo X Gen 2 conversion, and a built-in HEXA Core DSP processor, it’s an ideal solution for professional recording, production, mixing, and mastering.
This version includes the UAD Analog Classics Pro bundle, an advanced software suite with over 80 professional UAD plug-ins dedicated to recording, mixing, mastering, music production, and post-production, offering a complete set of tools used daily in top recording studios.
The two Unison™ microphone preamps allow you to record in real time using Universal Audio’s renowned emulations. Unison technology faithfully recreates the impedance, gain, and circuit behavior of historic preamps and channel strips, offering an extremely realistic recording experience.
Thanks to compatible plug-ins, you can achieve the sonic character of legendary gear from Neve, API, Avalon, Manley, SSL, and many other iconic brands right during tracking.
The Apollo X Gen 2 platform introduces completely redesigned A/D and D/A converters, capable of delivering superior dynamic range and extremely low distortion levels. Conversion up to 24-bit / 192 kHz ensures detailed, transparent recordings that are perfectly faithful to the source.
The Dual-Crystal Clocking system reduces jitter to extremely low levels, ensuring greater temporal precision and improved stereo image definition.
The HEXA Core DSP processor allows you to record and mix using Universal Audio plug-ins with virtually zero latency. Compressors, channel strips, equalizers, reverbs, delays, tape simulations, and amplifiers can be used directly during recording without overloading your computer.
The UAD Analog Classics Pro bundle includes over 80 professional plug-ins, including dynamic processors, preamps, reverbs, delays, virtual instruments, creative effects, guitar and bass amps, and dedicated LUNA extensions, offering a comprehensive platform for any music production.
The Auto-Gain feature automatically adjusts the preamps to their optimal level in just a few seconds, simplifying the setup of recording sessions and reducing the risk of clipping. This feature is particularly useful for vocal recordings, podcasts, acoustic instruments, and sessions with multiple musicians.
Apollo Monitor Correction, developed in collaboration with Sonarworks®, allows you to calibrate monitors and headphones for a more linear and accurate response. This enables you to make more reliable decisions during mixing and mastering, even in acoustically imperfect environments.
The built-in Bass Management feature lets you easily add a subwoofer to your monitoring system, improving control over low frequencies and surround setups.
The Apollo X6 Gen 2 supports stereo and surround configurations up to 5.1, making it ideal for music, post-production, sound design, and audiovisual content. The built-in monitor controller also lets you manage alternate monitors, talkback, and different listening configurations directly from the interface.
The UAD Console app lets you control routing, ultra-low-latency monitoring, Plug-In Scenes, Auto-Gain, and Bass Management from a single, intuitive interface. Integration with LUNA offers a workflow inspired by analog consoles while maintaining all the flexibility of a modern DAW.
The Apollo X6 Gen 2 AC Pro Analog Classics Pro is compatible with LUNA, Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Cubase, Ableton Live, and leading professional audio workstations available for Mac and Windows.
The Apollo X6 Gen 2 can be expanded by connecting up to four Apollo Thunderbolt interfaces, providing up to 128 channels of professional I/O. This allows you to build a fully modular studio while maintaining a single workspace and centralized control over the entire system.
The Analog Classics Pro version includes over 80 professional UAD plug-ins for recording, mixing, mastering, music production, and post-production.
