Multiform Complex LFO Module with V/Oct and CV Tracking - Silver
The AtoV cLFO Silver is a Eurorack module designed for those who want to push the boundaries of traditional modulation. It features two voltage-controlled LFOs capable of intermodulating with each other, along with a Ring Modulator that significantly expands the possibilities for synthesis and sound design.
Thanks to its architecture, which supports both cross-patching and self-patching, the cLFO allows you to generate organic modulations, complex rhythms, ever-evolving textures, variable waveforms, and immersive stereo effects. The Silver version features a silver-colored panel suitable for both classic Eurorack systems and minimalist modular setups.
Each of the two low-frequency oscillators provides Triangle, Saw, and Square outputs, offering multiple modulation sources that can be used simultaneously. This configuration allows you to control various parameters of the modular system with different waveforms, without requiring additional modules.
The Triangle output of the first LFO is normalized to the CV input of the second LFO via an attenuation control. This allows you to instantly achieve complex cross-modulations while still retaining the ability to bypass the normalization via external patches.
The module invites you to experiment with continuously variable waveforms, exponential curves, bouncing-ball effects, and articulate stereo movements, transforming simple control signals into dynamic and musical modulations.
The built-in Ring Modulator applies techniques typically used in audio processing to the realm of modulation. By combining the two LFOs, the module produces complex signals that retain the rhythmic character of a low-frequency oscillator while adding variations and irregularities that keep the patch in constant motion.
The signal obtained through ring modulation can be used to animate filters, VCAs, wavefolders, effects, panning, sequencers, and numerous other voltage-controlled parameters. The cLFO is particularly well-suited for generative, ambient, and experimental patches, as well as systems dedicated to advanced modular synthesis.
Manual speed adjustment allows you to range from one cycle every two minutes up to 20 cycles per second. By applying CV control signals, the range extends further from one cycle every 13 hours up to 400 cycles per second.
This range allows the AtoV cLFO Silver to be used for both extremely slow modulations and audio-rate applications, producing frequency modulation effects, metallic timbres, amplitude modulations, and high-frequency sound variations.
V/Oct tracking allows you to control the module’s frequency via sequencers, keyboards, quantizers, and other pitch CV sources. This feature broadens the cLFO’s range of applications, making it suitable for melodic, harmonic, and experimental patches as well.
The AtoV cLFO Silver comes with a detailed manual containing numerous patch ideas. The examples help you explore the possibilities offered by intermodulation, the Ring Modulator, internal normalizations, and the wide frequency range.
