Vongon Polyphrase is inspired by the early proto-digital delays of the 1970s, such as the Lexicon Prime Time, offering a sophisticated yet accessible user experience. It can generate rich, rhythmic delays or metallic, resonant flanges, expanding the sonic possibilities for ambient, experimental, or avant-garde musicians.
Two separate sliders for the left and right channels allow precise control of delay times. Infinite feedback allows you to create constantly evolving layered loops, ideal for harmonic experiments inspired by works such as Steve Reich's "Piano Phase."
The TIME control allows you to select from nine delay ranges, from 85 ms up to 22 seconds. With automatic crossfade between delay sections, each step occurs without unwanted pitch changes.
Polyphrase offers three echo modes: dual stereo for independent delays, ping pong for stereo spatial effects, and mono with the ability to integrate external effects into the feedback path.
The TONE control acts on the feedback path to emphasize or attenuate frequencies, simulating classic analog delays. Pitch modulation, with sine or random waves, enables vintage tape echo-style vibrato, chorus or detune effects.
Polyphrase supports full MIDI for remote control, tempo synchronization and access to 9 presets. The hand-finished solid walnut construction also makes it a unique design object.
