Make Noise – Eurorack Modular Synthesizers

Make Noise redefines what a eurorack module can be: instruments to play, explore and experiment with, not just to patch.

Make Noise is one of the most influential and recognisable makers in the modular synthesizer scene. Founded by Tony Rolando in Asheville, North Carolina, the company has built its reputation on instruments that challenge convention: Make Noise modules aren't simple building blocks with predetermined functions, but objects to explore — complex systems that evolve sound through physical interaction and unexpected connections.

The Maths is probably the best-selling eurorack module in the world: an analogue function unit inspired by the analogue computers of the 1960s, combining envelopes, oscillators, summers and integrators in a system of extraordinary versatility. Alongside it, the Morphagene is a real-time recording, sampling and granular synthesis unit that defined an entire approach to musique concrète in the modular world. The Mimeophon is the range's reference spatial delay/chorus, with algorithms ranging from classic echo to infinite loops. The Black & Gold series — Maths BG, ModDemix — brings the same circuits in an even more refined aesthetic.

Beyond individual modules, Make Noise builds the 0-Coast, a desktop semi-modular synthesizer that shapes sound through principles alternative to traditional subtractive synthesis — West Coast synthesis in its most accessible form. The 0-CTRL is a touch-pressure controller for expressive control and sequencing. The DPO (Dual Prismatic Oscillator) is the range's reference complex dual oscillator for FM and through-zero linear synthesis. The QPAS is a quad stereo filter with a character all of its own. Rounding out the range are the MultiWAVE and the Multimod among the most recent modules.

For the rack itself, Make Noise offers its own cases: the 4-Zone CV Bus Case and the 2 Zone Skiff Powered are built to integrate the CV bus directly into the rails, simplifying the distribution of control signals. Milk Audio Store is an authorized Make Noise dealer in Italy.
