Waves V-Comp: The classic Neve compressor in plug-in version

V-Comp is a compressor/limiter modeled after the legendary Neve 2254 hardware. With its harmonic saturation and virtual transformers, it delivers that "thick", musical sound so beloved by engineers and producers everywhere. Great for adding punch and cohesion to your mix without losing the original musicality.

Rich, analog compression

With its diode bridge behavior, V-Comp accurately reproduces the slow, musical response of the original hardware. You can choose automatic or fixed release, adjust the ratio, and push input to get that vintage console saturation.

Total control even on the bus master

Independent limiter section includes threshold, attack, and release. Perfect for keeping extreme dynamics in check or giving compactness and impact to the master.

Color and warmth even without compression

Even when not working as a compressor, V-Comp colors the sound with analog harmonics. The Analog switch lets you choose between 3 levels of noise and saturation, or keep just the harmonic warmth without the additional noise.
