Erica Synths Black K-Phaser - Krautrock Analog Phaser for Eurorack

Erica Synths Black K-Phaser is an analog effect module that pays homage to the pioneers of German electronic music by reinterpreting the legendary Krautrock Phaser sound in Eurorack format. The design retains the classic 8-filter all-pass architecture controlled by photoresistors, but introduces circuit improvements and innovative features that radically expand its sonic possibilities.

The result is a deep, organic and highly expressive phaser, perfect for modular synthesizers, drum machines and external audio sources.

8-stage architecture with advanced resonance control

The Black K-Phaser uses 8 all-pass filters to generate rich, three-dimensional modulations. A dip switch can be used to select the number of stages involved in the resonance path, allowing you to switch from softer sounds to psychedelic and aggressive textures.

Resonance Attenuverter and unique feedback artifacts

Resonance attenuverter introduces novel feedback behaviors capable of moving beyond classic vintage phasing, opening up sonic experimentation ideal for advanced sound design and live electronic performance.

Spread mode for filter detune

Spread mode is one of the distinctive features of the module: by detuning all-pass filters, it generates even larger and more complex movements than Classic mode. This allows for spatial effects, swirling and dynamic modulations with a modern and distinctive character.

Internal voltage controlled LFO with dedicated output

The Black K-Phaser integrates a voltage controllable LFO (VC LFO) with selectable waveforms. In addition to modulating the phaser internally, the LFO has a dedicated output that can be used as an independent modulation source in the modular system, further increasing the versatility of the module.

With the dedicated Wet output, the module can be easily integrated into parallel configurations or advanced processing systems.
