u-he Twangstrom - Physically modeled spring reverb

u-he Twangstrom is a spring reverb plug-in inspired by the units found in classic guitar and instrument amplifiers. This is not just an IR: Twangstrom recreates the physical properties of springs to achieve an authentic, dynamic and real-time editable sound. It includes 3 selectable tanks, multi-mode filter, Drive section and extensive modulation matrix.

Modular Twang Control

The "Twang" parameter allows you to shake the springs manually or via automation, bringing realism and sonic movement to your mixes. Perfect for surprising effects and animated textures.

Physical tanks with organic response

Using physical modeling, Twangstrom simulates the real behavior of sound waves in a spring tank: reflections, dispersion, interference, and size are all controllable in real time.

Advanced dynamics section

The Envelope module has 4 modes (Follower, AD, AR, Cyclic) and can be assigned to the input, output or sidechain signal, perfectly matching your creative flow.

Deep and creative modulations

With 8-waveform LFOs, synchronizable or free, and a full modular matrix, you can manipulate parameters such as Twang, filter, drive or tank to create ever-new sound textures.
