ALM Busy Circuits MFX is a compact stereo digital multi-effects processor for Eurorack, housed in just 6HP. It offers 16 fully configurable effect programs, as well as various metering utilities. Inspired by the most beloved classic hardware processors, the MFX incorporates DSP technologies ranging from the dawn of digital effects in the 1970s to the most modern solutions, combining this legacy with ALM’s distinctive character to create an extremely useful, fun, and practical effects module.

Distortion, Dynamics, and Signal Transformation

With the MFX’s distortion and dynamics engines, you can completely reshape the input signal, from the subtlest saturation to drastic alterations of the waveform. The multiple reverb and delay engines, packed with controllable parameters, let you bend time, space, and pitch, paving the way for deep ambient textures and complex rhythmic delays.

Modulation and sound fragmentation: panner, frequency shifter, and granular effects

The flexible panner, frequency shifter, and a range of ensemble effects provide powerful tools for signal modulation, while the one-of-a-kind granular and glitch engines allow you to fragment the sound in ways that would otherwise be impossible to achieve. Several built-in utilities also let you monitor signals and tune oscillators directly from the module.

Fast User Interface and Comprehensive Preset Management

The MFX’s user interface is designed to be familiar, fast, and intuitive. Each program includes a wide range of controllable parameters, which can be edited directly or freely assigned to CV or clocked control. Each program also features factory presets and the ability to save and recall custom presets, with all states preserved between power cycles.
