The 80 Hz high-pass filter, with a slope of 18 dB/octave, reduces traffic noise, ventilation noise, room reverberation, and mechanical vibrations transmitted by the boom arm or the camera. The switchable -10 dB pad prevents clipping with very loud sources.

Aluminum alloy body and included accessories

The structural aluminum alloy body combines lightness and durability for heavy-duty use on a boom arm, camera, or tripod. Included are the AT8405a mount for 5/8"-27 threaded stands with a 3/8"-16 adapter, the AT8144 foam windscreen, two O-rings, and a protective carrying case.
