Herbs and Stones Pathways is a 4x4 analog modular matrix designed for creative signal routing, feedback manipulation and advanced sound experimentation. Based on 16 analog VCAs, it is an ideal central hub for connecting Eurorack systems and desktop gear.

Matrix analog mixer for creative routing and feedback

Pathways allows you to manage and transform audio and CV signals through a fully controllable 4x4 matrix. Each intersection point can be manually adjusted or modulated via CV, allowing complex and dynamic configurations in real time.

Full CV control and visual feedback

Each intersection in the matrix has independent control and dedicated LED for visual level monitoring. This makes routing understanding immediate even in the most intricate patches.

Integration with Eurorack and external instruments

With inputs and outputs in 1/4" jack format and minijack connections for CV, Pathways integrates seamlessly with both modular systems and desktop setups, functioning as a bridge between different production environments.

Advanced modulation with LFO and envelope follower

The module includes a normalized envelope follower on input 4, connected to a clock divider with three cascaded outputs, useful for generating rhythmic modulations. Two voltage-controlled LFOs allow any parameter to be modulated, creating dynamic effects, asymmetric panning and evolutionary feedback.

Creative tool for sound design and experimental synthesis

When patched to itself, Pathways can go into self-oscillation, transforming into a polyphonic drone synthesizer that can be controlled via CV. This feature makes it a powerful tool for advanced sound design and experimental performance.
