The Schoeps CMC6 + MK8 Mono Set is a professional modular condenser microphone belonging to Schoeps' renowned Colette series. The system combines the CMC6 preamplifier with the MK8 capsule, which features a figure-of-eight polar pattern.

Due to its extremely precise bidirectional directivity, this microphone is particularly suited for advanced stereo techniques such as Mid/Side, Blumlein and other professional stereo configurations. The MK8 capsule offers natural and detailed pickup with a very controlled off-axis response.

Schoeps Colette Modular System

The Schoeps Colette modular system allows the CMC6 preamplifier to be used with several MK series capsules. This modular architecture allows the microphone to be configured to different recording needs, while always maintaining the high sound quality that characterizes Schoeps microphones.

The CMC6 preamplifier ensures an extremely clean signal with high dynamics and a very low noise floor.

The Schoeps MK8 capsule offers a bidirectional polar pattern (figure of eight), ideal for stereo recording techniques and for applications where sound from two opposite directions needs to be captured while maintaining excellent lateral separation.
