The Waldorf Iridium Desktop MK2 represents the evolution of one of the most advanced digital synthesizers on the market. Based on the powerful multi-engine architecture of the Quantum and Iridium series, this instrument offers unprecedented sonic depth, ideal for sound designers, producers, and composers of electronic and cinematic music.

Advanced sound engine and new creative possibilities

With new enhanced hardware with more RAM and internal memory, Iridium MK2 further expands synthesis possibilities. The three independent oscillators support six different synthesis methods, including wavetable, granular, kernels, and the new Seeds mode, which introduces an innovative approach to timbre generation.

Seeds: a new frontier in sound synthesis

Seeds mode enables the construction of dynamic timbral paths from sub-oscillators, which can be combined through techniques such as FM, ring modulation and other advanced forms of synthesis. This approach allows the creation of highly complex and ever-changing sound textures.

Per-Note-Parameter-Locks: unprecedented expressiveness

Developed in collaboration with Aphex Twin, this unique feature allows you to assign individual parameter variations to each individual note. You can change up to 16 parameters per note, opening up completely new creative scenarios and making each performance unique.

Advanced multitimbricity and layering of up to 4 parts

Thanks to the increased memory available, Iridium MK2 allows multitimbric configurations of up to 4 layers, with advanced modes such as round-robin and random-robin. This makes it possible to create complex, layered and highly dynamic sounds.

Intuitive interface and total control

The high-resolution touchscreen display offers immediate and precise control over all parameters, while the modulation matrix and advanced controls allow complete sound management. The Flavour function introduces micro-variations on pitch, timing and timbre for a more organic result.
